Monster

She is still
Silent
Seemingly innocent as a new born lamb
But there is something hiding behind those raging eyes
Raging ice blue eyes
Vengefulness begins to peek
And soon it glares straight out at me
It severs my rough skin
Like a freshly sharpened dagger
Clean
Keen
She pounces and I am on the ground
Struggling for precious life
The moment flies forward
Like a jaguar on the hunt
Tears pour out of her swollen eye sockets
Drool creeps from the corner
Of her pouted, blood red lips
I've won this battle
She unwillingly retreats to her bedroom
The war however, is not over
I dutifully brace myself
For the next attack from the
Monster
